Susanna S. Shea has been practicing law in Florida since 1987. She is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (B.S.; 1974); Radford University (M.S.; 1975); Central Michigan University (M.S.; 1982); and University of Virginia School of Law (J.D.; 1987).

Prior to launching her "second career" in law, she served as a Military/Management Analyst for the Department of the Army (Fort Lee, Va.) and Defense Logistics Agency (Richmond, Va.). Before forming Moody and Shea, P.A., she practiced law in the Tampa Bay area, focusing her practice in the areas of construction, commercial, and real estate law, and creditor's rights.

Susanna is admitted to practice in all state courts in the State of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Veterans Appeals. She has been a member of various local, state and national business and legal organizations, including the bar associations for Hillsborough County, West Pasco County, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg, Florida and has received recognition for performing pro bono legal services.

Her experience in commercial and residential real estate, development, and construction has included representation of real property owners, managers, developers, providers of construction materials and services, and commercial lenders.

She has provided legal representation at all stages of the construction process, including land acquisition, financing, development, permitting, construction, sale, leasing, property management, and foreclosure.

Susanna has a broad range of experience in bankruptcy cases, including cases filed under Chapters 7,11, 12, and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Her experience in the representation both of debtors and creditors in those proceedings has provided an excellent background for her current focus on creditor rights representation, including representation of construction supply companies.
